We purchased our First Dane in February 2005. Her name was Venus. She was diagnosed at a year old with epilepsy. She was put on Phenobarbital to control her seizures, and at the time our vet told us that there maybe a time that the Pheno would not help her seizures. When we called the breeder to let her know what was going on she asked us what we had done to her. We immediately had her spayed and figured that was the price we paid for purchasing a Dane without any guarantees. She was a beautiful and wonderful pet. Her personality was to die for, she loved to play and she also loved to just lay in your lap. She was the Dane that made us fall in love with the breed.  We made the decision to have her put to rest on January 7, 2009, her seizures were getting to the point that they couldn't be controlled anymore. She lived a very good life with us and will always be in our hearts.
